DK ROOFING was established in February 2021. Having recently moved back to New Plymouth (home town) after spending years living in different regions and after having worked 18 years for other companies, Damian decided it was finally the right time to start a roofing business and with his son Kaydem (also a roofer who had spent 6 years within the industry and alongside Damian). With their combined knowledge, skills and experience they had the roofing side of things sorted. Kaydem came up with the perfect name for them which was DK ROOFING - 'D' standing for 'Damian' and 'K' standing for 'Kaydem'. As the business started to grow, Damian's wife Lee Hare (who knows 'Business') went from helping out to full-time doing the business side of things. "Working with family can be hard, but if you have the right people with the right skills in the right roles then it can work. And it can really work if 'everyone stays in their lanes!'. And so far this is working for us!
